"West End Players" (West Drama) - ....were at it again with a recently successful trip. Forty-one students traveled to UW Stevens Point the weekend of November 17th to perform at the State Theater Contest, and for the second straight year, they swept all of the awards.  For the the seventh consecutive year, West brought home the weekend's top award: The Critics' Choice!  West also received the contest's awards for Outstanding Ensemble and Outstanding Crew.  Regan Carter won the award for Outstanding Actress (her second!) and Evan McGinnis won the award for Outstanding Actor. Mr. Berish was fortunate enough to win the contest's award for Outstanding Direction. West Drama has developed quite the reputation in the state.  This year, they received the honor of being asked to bring the lone full-length play to the state contest. Nearly 600 people saw their Showcase production of "Noises Off" on Thursday.  Spectators were very impressed by the quality of the production, but completely blown away by students' ability to travel with such a complex set and show. The following day, West's "one act" performed in front of a completely packed house.  Both shows were given deafening standing ovations! Enjoy the pics below"

Congrats to both student who worker hard in their achievement in this competition!

West Woods Project - The West Woods Project has been ongoing since last spring and has had multiple staff and students volunteer their time and efforts to make a nice walking/running path through the woods located on the Southwest part of our campus. This past weekend saw over 25 West student volunteers work on the woods project. It started last spring with making a clear path through wooded thickets and has most recently seen several truckload of gravel laid down on the path. There is more work to do, but the pictures below show the gravel path that is half completed along with an approximate 800 pound rock that was dug out and put off to the side for a smooth path!

Our girls qualified for state in the 200 Medley Relay, the 500 Free, the 100 Back and in the 400 Free Relay. Congratulations girls and good luck!

Boys Soccer - The state semi-final game was a tough loss for our team. Our boys dominated every aspect of the game except the final score. They had approximately 40 shots on goal compared to approximately 6 for the other team but found themselves on the losing end of the scoreboard. Congrats on a great season!
