The format of the connection time will be 7-minute conferences with teachers leading the conference by asking these two questions:
1. Is there anything you would like me to know about your family that will help and support the continued success of your student at West?

2. What do I need to know about your student academically and/or personally in order for your student to have a successful learning experience in my class?

The sign-up for the "Family Connect" conferences is linked here.

National Merit Scholarship Semi-Finalist! - West High School is proud to recognize Ethan Wanner, Class of 2022, who has been named a Semifinalist in the 2022 National Merit Scholarship Program:

This year there are approximately 16,000 Semifinalists in the 67th annual National Merit Scholarship Program with the opportunity to continue in the competition for 7,600 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $30 million.

The nationwide pool of Semifinalists, representing less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors, includes the highest-scoring entrants in each state. The number of Semifinalists in a state is proportional to the state’s percentage of the national total of graduating seniors.

Next steps? Semifinalists must submit a detailed scholarship application and provide information regarding academic records, school and community activities, leadership abilities, employment, honors, and awards.

Finalists are selected in February.

Best of luck moving forward in this process Ethan!!!

Wall of Fame - Another part of our Homecoming festivities is the addition of our newest members to the West "Wall of Fame." This Friday we will be honoring Joanna (Wu) Galante Class of 2006 and Erik Sowinski Class of 2008 into our West Wall of Fame. They will be on campus with us this Friday to engage with students and will be recognized prior to our Homecoming football game. The West "Wall of Fame" members are denoted with plaques hung up on the right side wall of our main entrance atrium.

Fox River Marching Band Invitational - A shout out to the Cadets of Waukesha West on a great performance of "Celtic Awakening" this past Sunday at their own invitational in windy conditions. Keep up the great work Cadets and I look forward to a strong finish! A big thank you to Mrs. Kali Granzow, Mr. David Farmer, and the marching band parents for all of their work in making this a great event. A special thank you to Mike Kowalski who was honored at the invitational for his 23 years of volunteer service to the Cadets, thank you, Mike! It is wonderful to enjoy all the variety this competition brings among all of the participating schools.
